Fragrance of the Lotus is an invitation to a year of living in the Neo-Tantric field through direct experience. You will explore the Shakta, Shavia and Vaishnavite Tantric lineages. You'll be immersed in sutras from the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, ignited by sacred sexuality exploration, and inspired by devotional practices.

 

You'll spend over a year in deep ecstatic meditation and go beyond what you have ever imagined, yet have always "known" was possible. You'll discover what it means to live within and contribute to our modern day society without being confined by it.

Ireland has a very particular legacy of shame around sexuality that is layered over a deep and earthy connection between soul and sex. It was a fathomless gift to me that Dawn Cartwright brought her gift of sexual brightening to Ireland just at a time when I was ready to crawl out from under the shadow of that cultural shame. It was only in the Fragrance of the Lotus training that I started to unhook the insidious conditioning that had separated me from that deeper pulse of my own and the collective sensuality. Dawn provided a steadfast beacon of love for that essence. While I twisted and struggled with the myriad faces of shame I was guided by her unwavering knowing of the beauty that was fighting to emerge.
 
The journey of FotL was hard and fabulous and its effects have not just lasted but are the nourishing soil that has nurtured and informed my life since. Like a Bonsai tree taken from its shallow pot and away from the clipping and pruning that keeps it small, I feel my life has plunged its roots deep and stretched its branches bravely in so many directions. Not least of these was taking the courage to pass on the gift of what I learned with Dawn and teaching others. On my deathbed I know one of the great sources of joy to me will be that I participated in changing sexual attitudes in Ireland at grass roots level and given a new legacy to younger generations.

The Fragrance of the Lotus teacher training offers far more than it could possibly promise in any ad or brochure. Beyond the meaty curriculum, and the skills that I learned for teaching and sharing Neo-Tantra, I underwent a complete transformation. 

 
Within the training, because of the remarkable space that Dawn held, I was faced with everything that has ever held me back from fully embodying my sexuality and aliveness. This awareness was both liberating and terrifying and I felt supported in every way throughout this process. 
 
Before the training, I was a young girl in love with Neo-Tantra and with many illusions about who I was and who I wanted to be. I entered the Fragrance of the Lotus Program because I wanted to immerse myself intensely and for a long period of time in the experience of Neo-Tantra. Neo-Tantra had been both a healing and exciting path for several years. Now I longed to expand my awareness of and relationship with Love. 
 
During the year I had many opportunities to see how I was restricted by my self-imposed limitations. As I trusted myself to release and to go beyond my "comfort zone" I discovered capabilities and opportunities I never imagined possible. 
 
This was especially true about teaching. I signed up for the course without a desire to actually teach. One of my major expansions was to let go of my limiting beliefs about my ability and allow myself the honor and opportunity to teach. It was amazing to actually lead parts of a workshop. I was supported by Dawn and my fellow classmates. Later before the beginning of the third session, a couple asked me assist with relationship issues just prior to their wedding. Without any hesitation I held several private sessions. It was just so natural.
 
The assignments encouraged clear communication, keeping commitments and maintaining momentum. The opportunity to travel to 3 different areas of the world provided opportunities to experience both the culture and the strength of the land. 
 
I learned so much about myself and grew so much during the course. My life is so expanded. At times I realized nothing was as it had been before. The only thing I could do was to trust. Tantra is the constant.
